TITLES

EXT. SPACE

The sun flashes out from behind the EARTH. Pan round to 
show Earth half lit by the sun, then out in to empty space. 
Eventually, a large ship comes in to view - the IMPERIAL 
CRUISER. It flys overhead.

INT. IMPERIAL CRUISER - BRIDGE

A large, ornate chamber. Several TERMOIDS are stationed at 
consoles at the front. We zoom in on MAKARA, standing at on 
a balcony at the back.

		MAKARA
	Orion - we're out of Thalian Zone now.

ORION appears on another balcony at the side.

		ORION
	Yes Commander Makara.

		MAKARA
	10 Parsecs. Slow from hyper speed.

		ORION
	Slowing down from hyper speed.

		MAKARA
	The galaxy stretches before us, glittering 
	jewels that we will take one by one, starting 
	with the planet Earth.

		ORION
	That we shall, by your divine guidance.

		MAKARA
	Look out for enemy craft.

		ORION
	Full quantum speed ahead; look out for Star 
	Fleet cruisers.

		TERMOID
	Am maintaining quantum speed.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

INT. IMPERIAL CRUISER - BRIDGE

		TERMOID 1
	Star Fleet cruiser in front of us, distance 
	80 millitons and closing fast.

		MAKARA
	Speed?

		TERMOID 2
	Project travelling at quantum speed, Captain.

		MAKARA
	Prepare to attack!

		IMPERIAL MASTER (O.S.)
	Wait Makara!

		MAKARA
	(her symbiote speaks)
	Yes, Imperial Master.

A large hologram of the IMPERIAL MASTER is appearing beside 
the balcony; Makara has turned towards it.

		IMPERIAL MASTER
	The devestation of Earth is of minor importance. 
	You understand our real objective; keep it locked
	in your mind.

		MAKARA
	(her symbiote speaks)
	Always, I will bring you honour, Imperial Master, 
	by your divine guidance.

		IMPERIAL MASTER
	Let the attack commence. 
	(the hologram fades out) 
	Victory will be ours.

		MAKARA
	(returning her attention to the crew)
	Prepare laser torpedoes. Combine cluster assault 
	with maximum penetration of the Star Fleet cruiser. 	Don't leave a single particle of it.

EXT. SPACE - STAR FLEET CRUISER 1

Zoom out from EDF logo on its tail.

INT. STAR FLEET CRUISER 1 - COCKPIT

		EDF PILOT
	What is that?

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

INT. STAR FLEET CRUISER 1 - COCKPIT

		EDF PILOT
	Pluto base, Pluto base, this is Star Fleet Cruiser 
	1. Sighted large alien warship.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

		EDF PILOT (O.S.)
	Entering our galaxy from Thalian Zone.

		CAPTAIN CARTER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Cruiser 1; determine their identity.

		EDF PILOT (O.S.)
	Yes sir.

INT. IMPERIAL CRUISER - BRIDGE

		ORION
	Commander; we await your divine order.

		MAKARA
	Destroy it.

		TERMOIDS
	(speaking simultaneously)

EXT. SPACE

The Imperial Cruiser fires. The Star Fleet cruiser is shot 
at several times, the final beam hits and destroys it. The 
Imperial Cruiser continues forwards.

EXT. SPACE - EARTH

Zoom in.

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	The year is 2999. Space War 3 has ended. The 
	galaxy is once again enjoying a time of peace.

EXT. SURFACE OF EARTH

Pan down to city.

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	(continuing)
	Our solar system, with the Earth as it's leader, 
	is slowly rebuilding.

EXT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

Zoom in.

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	(continuing)
	Attempting to forge new hope out of the ashes 
	of devestation.

INT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

Zoom back from massive map to show a busy room full of 
monitors, consoles, and uniformed figures. We see NUMBER ONE 
and NUMBER TWO standing behind two OFFICERS sitting at a 
console, in front of GENERAL KYLE's desk at the back of the 
room.

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	(continuing)
	Star Fleet, the spearhead of Earth's defences, 
	is commanded here, the headquarters of EDF - 
	Earth Defence Forces.

		OFFICER 1
	Uh, urgent Call from Captain Carter, Pluto Base.

		NUMBER ONE
	(shocked)
	Captain Carter? Open a channel.

		OFFICER 1
	Yes sir.

		OFFICER 2 (O.S.)
	Go ahead Captain Carter.

CAPTAIN CARTER's face appears on a monitor.

		CARTER
	(filtered)
	At star time 35426, Star Fleet Cruiser 1 from 
	Pluto Base was attacked by laser torpedoes fired 
	from an alien ship, no provocation, no warning, 
	no survivors.

		NUMBER ONE
	Oh no, I can't believe it! Plan of action?

		CARTER
	(filtered)
	We are preparing to scramble all fighter pilots 
	immediately.

		NUMBER ONE
	Understood.

EXT. SPACE - PLUTO

Zoom in.

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	Pluto Alpha Base. One of the most important strategic 
	space ports.

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

		NARRATOR (V.O.)
	(continuing)
	The front line of Earth's defences.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - FIGHTER BAY

A long hanger with several EDF FIGHTERS lined up ready to launch.

		CARTER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Open launch doors. Astro fighters stand by for 
	take off. Number one go.

INT. EDF FIGHTER 1 - COCKPIT

		FIGHTER CAPTAIN
	Astro fighter one launching now.

		CARTER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Stand by number two.

INT. Pluto Alpha Base - FIGHTER BAY

The fighters begin launching.

		CARTER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Number three, go.

EXT. PLUTO SURFACE

The EDF fighters fly over Pluto, then in to space.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

Close up on Captain Carter, zooming out to show two other 
officers. It's smaller and darker than Star Fleet Command 
on Earth.

		CARTER
	We must not let this unidentfied warship stay 
	in our solar system. It has to be destroyed, 
	before it penetrates our defences.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

Close up.

INT. IMPERIAL CRUISER - BRIDGE

		ORION
	Commander Makara, they've launched their 
	fighters - do we attack?

		MAKARA
	Of course, annihilate them all.

EXT. SPACE - NINE EDF FIGHTERS

INT. EDF FIGHTER 1 - COCKPIT

		FIGHTER CAPTAIN
	There's our unwanted guest, fellahs. Just 
	sitting there. Lets give her a little laser 
	torpedo show.

		PILOT (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Standing by, Captain.

EXT. SPACE - EDF FIGHTERS

Three EDF fighters break off.

INT. EDF FIGHTER 1 - COCKPIT

		PILOT (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Ready to attack.

		FIGHTER CAPTAIN
	Now we'll teach her some manners.

EXT. SPACE - TWO EDF FIGHTERS

INT. EDF FIGHTER - COCKPIT

		FIGHTER CAPTAIN (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Move in, squad three.

EXT. SPACE

The two EDF fighters reach the Imperial Cruiser, firing as 
they fly past.

EXT. SPACE - THREE EDF FIGHTERS

INT. EDF FIGHTER - COCKPIT

		PILOT
	Turning in now.

EXT. SPACE

An EDF fighter approaches the Imperial Cruiser, and is 
destroyed, closely followed by a second.

Another fighter moves in.

INT. EDF FIGHTER - COCKPIT

We see out of the cockpit as the fighter straffs the 
Imperial Cruiser. 

EXT. SPACE

The fighter flys past the Cruiser and is destroyed.

Another fighter moves in and is shot down.

Two flighters fly past the Cruiser; the second is destroyed.

INT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

GENERAL KYLE has arrived.

		KYLE
	What is the latest report, Number One?

		NUMBER ONE
	General, uh...

		KYLE
	Have our fighters annihilated the enemy?

		NUMBER ONE and NUMBER TWO
	General...

		KYLE
	Hurry up, tell me what's happened. What's 
	the outcome of the battle?

		NUMBER ONE
	It has failed, sir.

		KYLE
	What do you mean "failed"?

		NUMBER ONE
	The astro fighters launched from Pluto Base 
	have been completely destroyed in course of 
	action sir.

		KYLE
	That means invasion is imminent.

		NUMBER TWO
	Yes sir. We don't have time to assemble our 
	Ocean Fleet now.

		KYLE
	Our only hope is the X Project. Contact our 
	Moonbase.

		NUMBER TWO
	Yes sir. Contact Dr Ben at Moonbase.

		OFFICER 1
	Yes sir.

DOCTOR BEN appears on the monitor.

		DR BEN
	General. I've heard it's bad news.

		KYLE
	Doctor. I need your help.

		DR BEN
	There's nothing I can do, General.

		KYLE
	You must. Our astro fighters were completely 
	destroyed. I am not sending any more young pilots 
	to their certain death. Finally the time has come 
	to launch our secret X Project.

		DR BEN
	But it's only 90% ready, General.

		NUMBER TWO
	Well, in other words, it's almost completed.

		DR BEN
	No. There are many tests to be carried out. I 
	also do not wish to send young pilots on a suicide 
	mission.

		NUMBER ONE
	Sir, we can't suceed with out you. We have to 
	take this chance together.

		DR BEN
	Right. You must choose three of your most 
	promising pilots for X Project.

		KYLE
	We already know who they are. We'll contact Star 
	Fleet Training School right now, and thank you.

		DR BEN
	Remember, they'll have to be the best we have, 
	General. Good luck.

		KYLE
	Switch through the latest report on enemy warship.

		NUMBER ONE
	Latest report coming through, sir. Unidentified 
	warship three hundred millitons from Pluto.

		KYLE
	Number Two.

		NUMBER TWO
	Sir.

		KYLE
	Send space cadets Shiro Hagen, John Lee, and 
	Barry Hercules to Moonbase as crew.

		NUMBER TWO
	Sir.

EXT. SPACE - STARCRUISER 17

A shuttle-like vessel is moving away from Earth.

INT. STARCRUISER 17 - CARGO BAY

Earth is visible through the window. Pan across to reveal 
SHIRO HAGEN. As he speaks, we zoom out to show JOHN LEE and 
BARRY HERCULES beside him. Hercules is holding a guitar.

		SHIRO
	Pluto Defense Corp is fighting for it's life 
	and they send the three of us off to Moonbase.

		HERCULES
	Keep cool kid, I've got a feeling we're walking 
	right in to the middle of a laser firing show.

		LEE
	I love it when you talk about my life so cheaply. 
	What is this X project on Moonbase?

		HERCULES
	Yes, Shiro, come on, you must know. Give your 
	Pals a break, can't ya?

		LEE
	Yeah. Hey, didn't your father design the whole 
	project?

		SHIRO
	Sorry, but I don't know anything about it. My 
	father's been working at the Institute of Mars 
	for years. We haven't seen or talked to each 
	other in a long time.

		HERCULES
	X Project. Even the name sounds mysterious. 
	Wonder what it could be?

		LEE
	Guess we'll soon know.

		SHIRO
	Yeah, look fellahs. There's our new world.

EXT. SPACE - MOON

Zoom in.

		PILOT (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Starcruiser 17 calling Moonbase.

EXT. MOONBASE

Zoom in on MOONBASE. Earth is visible in the sky behind it.

		PILOT (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Starcruiser 17 to Moonbase. Request 
	permission to land.

		MOONBASE OFFICER 1 (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Moonbase to Starcruiser 17; permission granted.

INT. MOONBASE - SPACE PORT

Brief shot of statue (of Artemis?).

The cadets are carried in to view on an escalator. There is 
a big window behind them showing the buildings of Moonbase and 
Earth beyond. Pan across to show MOONBASE OFFICERS at work.

		MOONBASE OFFICER 2 (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Standby all passengers, shuttlecraft B16 for 
	takeoff. Standby all passengers, shuttlecraft 
	B16 for takeoff.

		SHIRO
	So, this is Moonbase - cosy.

		HERCULES
	Caspian Plutonium mines are friendlier.

		LEE
	Mm. This place could make you homesick for 
	an asteroid. 
	(giggles)

INT. MOONBASE - MEETING ROOM

Close up on Earth. Zoom out to show Dr Ben looking out the 
window. When he turns, we see he's smoking a pipe.

		PPA (O.S.)
	Dr Ben. The pilots are here.

We see PPA, who rises out of shot to reveal the cadets behind him.

		LEE
	Hey! What's that?

		DR BEN
	You'll find out soon enough. Welcome gentlemen. 
	I'm Dr Ben, Commander of Moonbase. You'll be 
	directly under my command. So lets get to know 
	each other.

		SHIRO
	Space Pilot Hagen, sir.

		DR BEN
	Welcome.

		LEE
	Space Pilot John Lee.

		DR BEN
	Hope you like it here.

		HERCULES
	And I'm Barry Hercules, Doc.

		DR BEN
	Cadet Hercules, "Doctor Ben", if you please. 
	Take a seat everyone. Let me introduce you to 
	some of our crew.

		PPA
	Ha ha ha ha! I'm cyberdroid PPA, Perfectly 
	Programmed Android.


		One of the CADETS

		DR BEN
	Yes, he's been working here for some time. Ask 
	him about anything; he knows the answer.

		CADETS
	Hi PPA.

		DR BEN
	Lamia - come in now.

A door slides open, and we see the bottom of LAMIA's dress. 
Shiro looks round, and we see her face for the first time. 
She nods in greeting.

		SHIRO
	Wow, she's beautiful.

		LEE
	You can say that again. Whoa. Is it unmanly 
	to faint?

		HERCULES
	(at the same time as Lee)
	Yeah baby, wow. 

		DR BEN
	Let me introduce you to Lamia. She's my secretary, 
	and she's also in charge of radar on Moonbase.

		LAMIA
	How do you do? Welcome to base.

		HERCULES
	Use your radar on me any time.

		SHIRO
	Hi, glad to meet you.

KIRARA appears behind Shiro and growls.

		SHIRO
	Ah! What are you?

		PPA
	That is the guard of Lamia - we call it Kirara. 
	Be careful of your actions.

		HERCULES
	Yeah, Dr Ben. Any time you like, we'd appreciate 
	knowing what X Project's all about.

		DR BEN
	You'll know its secret soon enough.

EXT.SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

It flys past, approaching Pluto.

INT. IMPERIAL CRUISER - BRIDGE

		MAKARA
	Imperial Fleet, hold quantum speed. Our target 
	is Pluto base of the Earth Defence Force. Orion! 
	Take command of the fleet.

		ORION
	At once.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CRUISER

Close up. IMPERIAL CARRIERs launch from the hanger.
 
INT. ORION'S CARRIER

		ORION
	All set, launch Imperial Fighters.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIER

The Carrier releases its IMPERIAL FIGHTERS.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

Carter and his officers watch the approaching fighters on a monitor.

		CARTER
	My God. They're coming straight for us.

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

Zoom in as sirens sound.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

		CARTER
	Call red alert. Battle stations everyone.

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

DEFENCE SYSTEMS move in to position. The imperial fighters 
begin their attack.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

		PLUTO OFFICER
	Laser missiles fire!

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

The defence systems fire. The fighters continue to attack.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

The base is taking serious damage; the room is full of smoke 
and flame, and rubble is falling from the ceiling.

		PLUTO OFFICER
	Sir, 30 or more astro fighters, 90 millitons 
	and closing.

		CARTER
	If this base is taken, the next victim is the 
	Earth. We must hold out. Give 'em all we've got.

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

The fighters continue to attack.

INT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE - COMMAND CENTRE

The base continues to sustain damage, and eveyone except 
Carter is unconscious or dead. Then Carter collapses himself.

EXT. PLUTO ALPHA BASE

The fighters continue to attack. The defences are no longer 
responding.

EXT. MOONBASE

INT. MOONBASE - HANGER

This is our first view of the X BOMBER; we pan along in 
close up from the engines to the nose, not seeing the whole 
thing at once yet. Technicians are still working on it, 
showing the size of the ship.

		DR BEN (O.S.)
	So, here it is - our X Bomber Project. It was 
	planned and designed by Professor Hagen in order 
	to maintain a peaceful solar system.

We now see Dr Ben, the Cadets, Lamia, and Kirara looking at 
the ship.

	It's Super.

		SHIRO
	Fantastic.

		HERCULES
	Genius.

		LEE
	Gosh.

		DR BEN
	We will fulfill that dream of peace in the 
	solar system through X Project and the help 
	of fighters like you.

		SHIRO
	Any alien starship would be overawed by it.

		LEE (O.S.)
	Sure would.

		HERCULES (O.S.)
	What a piece of equipment.

Another view of the X Bomber, from further back. Then the 
com system starts signaling.

		PPA
	Doctor - an urgent call from General Kyle on 
	Earth requires your immediate attention.

		HERCULES (O.S.)
	What's up now?

Dr Ben goes over to the com system.

		LEE (O.S.)
	We'll know all too soon.

		SHIRO (O.S.)
	Sounds ominous.

		HERCULES (O.S.)
	Yeah.

		DR BEN
	This is Dr Ben speaking.

General Kyle appears on the monitor.

		KYLE
	(filtered)
	Doctor. I have very grave news. Pluto 
	base has fallen to the enemy.

		SHIRO
	Pluto fallen? Then Captain Carter - is he?

		KYLE
	(filtered)
	X Project is our only hope. Launch it immediately.

		DR BEN
	General, it's impossible.

		KYLE
	(filtered)
	You've got to make it possible. The Earth will 
	be defenseless without it. We have to know who and 
	what we're fighting against. Before it is too late.

		DR BEN
	We will do whatever is possible.

		SHIRO
	Doctor, what of Captain Carter?

		DR BEN
	I doubt if he can still be alive.

		SHIRO
	I knew it. If only he hadn't given up his position 
	in Star Fleet Training School, to go to the 
	lowliest space port in the solar system.

		HERCULES
	Like he was going there to die.

		LEE
	He was our instructor at Training School, Dr Ben.

		SHIRO
	Captain Carter.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIERS

INT. ORION'S CARRIER

		ORION
	Now, set course for Earth, hyper speed.

		TERMOIDS
	Course Earth, hyper speed, hyper speed.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIERS

INT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

		OFFICER 1
	At star time 00342, the enemy fleet rose from 
	Pluto's surface bound for Earth.

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Star Fleet, red alert. Star Fleet, red alert.

		DR BEN
	Pay attention, my young space pilots. Shiro, Lee, 
	Hercules - get ready. The time has come.

		SHIRO
	For what? But Doctor, the X Project hasn't been 
	completed yet. And even if it was, we haven't had a 
	single simulated flight.

		HERCULES
	Yeah. We're talking about some complicated piece 
	of machinery, Doctor. And with no training.

		DR BEN
	Are you afraid? Is conservatism taught in the 
	training schools now? It's your own will that must 
	take defeat and forge it in to victory. If the 
	challenge of the unknown is beyond your capabilites, 
	you may remain here. I will take her up myself. 
	Excuse me.

		PPA
	Fighters they said. Fighters they said. I thought 
	we were sent fighters. Bah!

Kirara makes noises, possibly laughter. Lamia looks at the cadets.

		SHIRO
	Right. We'll go. For the memory of Captain Carter.

		LEE
	We will? The guy's kind of free with that "we".

		HERCULES
	John Lee, you wanna be a hero?

		LEE
	(mock enthusiasm)
	A hero? Oh, sure.

		KIRARA
	(laughs again)

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

Dr Ben is at his station; the cadets arrive at the door.

		SHIRO
	Doctor? We'll go with you.

		HERCULES
	We'll give it a turn.

		DR BEN
	Why are you standing there? Five minutes, 
	start counting down.

		SHIRO
	Yes sir.

		DR BEN
	To your posts.


INT. MOONBASE - HANGER

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	X Bomber launches in five minutes. Counting down.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIERS

INT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

		OFFICER 1
	Enemy fleet passing Saturn, full hyper speed.

		NUMBER ONE
	Is X Project ready?

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Coundown has started. 4 minutes 30 seconds.

		NUMBER TWO
	General! What course of action do we take? Is 
	there nothing we can do?

		KYLE
	Stay calm, men. Trust Dr Ben.

INT. MOONBASE - HANGER

The scaffolding and gantries are being moved away from the 
X Bomber, and the ship's engines are giving off steam.

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	Three minutes, thirty seconds. Counting down.


EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIERS

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered)
	One minute. Counting down. Stand by.

		DR BEN
	Shiro; check power.

		SHIRO
	Aye aye, sir.

		DR BEN
	Lee; electrics.

		LEE
	Aye aye, sir.

		DR BEN
	Open launch door now.


EXT. MOONBASE - HANGER DOORS

The doors open.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

		DR BEN
	Launch door is open; quantum power. 
	Check systems.

		CADETS
	Aye aye, sir.

		HERCULES
	Checking laser systems, sir.

		SHIRO
	Quantum power, set. All systems normal.

		HERCULES
	Laser systems... normal sir.

		LEE
	Electric system clear, sir.

		PPA
	Temperature and pressure systems normal.

		LEE
	Communication clear.

		MOONBASE OFFICER (O.S.)
	(filtered; in background)

The X Bomber's engines ignite.

The X Bomber emerges.

Looking forwards out the ship.

	We're off, boys.

EXT. MOON

The X Bomber turns above the moon's surface and slowly 
moves up. 

Close pan along the ship from nose to engines.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIERS

INT. ORION'S CARRIER

		TERMOID 1
	Commander Orion, a large battlecruiser has 
	been launched from Moonbase.

		TERMOID 2
	(in background)
	Enemy craft approaching. Vector 205

		ORION
	Anything that stands in the way of our great 
	dynasty shall be completely destroyed. Launch 
	imperial fighter fleet.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL CARRIER

The Carrier releases its IMPERIAL FIGHTERS.

EXT. MOONBASE

The X Bomber flys above the base.

EXT. SPACE

Imperial fighters approach.

The X Bomber flys by beneath us, turning.

Imperial Fighters continue to approach.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

		PPA

From behind - Shiro firing side gun. He destroys a fighter.

EXT. SPACE

Two fighters fly past the X Bomber, which is hit multiple times.

Imperial Fighters open fire.

The X Bomber is hit multiple times. Fighters fly by in both 
directions.

INT. AN IMPERIAL CARRIER

		TERMOID
	Third squadron attack.

EXT. SPACE - X BOMBER

The X Bomber is hit by the engines; lots of flame and smoke.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

From behind - Shiro firing side gun. The X Bomber is hit 
close to him.

		SHIRO
	Doctor! There's too many!

		DR BEN
	Keep firing. Evasive maneouver, quick.

EXT. SPACE - IMPERIAL FIGHTERS

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

		PPA
	Shiro! On your starboard side. Attack them!

INT. ORION'S CARRIER

	The new machine; laser torpedoes - go for 
	direct hit!

EXT. SPACE

The Imperial carriers fire repeatedly. Blasts go past the X 
Bomber, then a couple hit and it starts to dive.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

Dr Ben looks worried.

		PPA (O.S.)
	Fault developing in engine room.

		DR BEN
	Right. Power decreasing, loosing speed.

EXT. MOON

The X Bomber approaches the moon's surface.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

EXT. MOON

The X Bomber hits the ground, and skids along.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

Shiro is thrown from his seat, as is Lee.

EXT. MOON

The X Bomber continues to slide along the ground, finally 
hitting a large rock outcrop and coming to a halt.

INT. X BOMBER - BRIDGE

Dr Ben, Shiro, Hercules, Lee, and PPA are all lying motionless.

EXT. MOON

Imperial Fighters fly past the crashed X Bomber.

INT. STAR FLEET COMMAND

		OFFICER 1
	We've lost contact, sir. No sign of life.

		KYLE
	All is lost.
